With the addition of Benjamin Franklin College and Pauli Murray College in August 2017, Yale will expand its total undergraduate enrollment by approximately 15 percent to 6,200, enabling nearly 800 additional students to study at Yale every year.

Charles B. Johnson ’54 has committed $250 million toward the construction of two new residential colleges. This gift, the largest in Yale history, brings the university’s goal to expand Yale College within reach.
Yale has selected Robert A.M. Stern Architects to design the new residential colleges. Led by Robert Stern ’65 M.Arch., dean of Yale's School of Architecture since 1998, the firm brings design excellence and Yale knowledge.
